About Us

Calvary Chapel of North East Washington has been in existence for over 21 years and we never want to forget our roots-

A BRIEF HISTORY Calvary Chapel of North East Washington began with just a small group of individuals meeting in one house or another in the fall of 1999, to study the Bible together. Coincidentally their first study consisted of 12 individuals, similar to how the first church in the books of Acts started out..

As the group grew in numbers the body decided to begin to meet on Sunday mornings, first at a dance studio, then at the Woodland theatre, both in Kettle Falls, WA., and finally to the Draper Memorial building in Colville, WA., where the Church currently meets.

Throughout this time the church has been encouraged by the support of Calvary Chapel of Spokane and officially became affiliated to Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa in December of 2001.

Calvary Chapels are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the body of Christ.

We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim our selves Christians.

Because we are not a denomination, each Calvary Chapel affiliate church is independently started, financially supported and governed.   Churches are usually started by individuals who begin by teaching a Bible study and the study grows into a church.  Each church is governed by it’s own pastors, elders, deacons, board members, etc.  Ordination of ministers is also performed by the church board members of individual churches. Therefore, every church is entirely independent.
